Cleaning Cell - Semi-Automated

The Jet Edge semi-automated waterjet cleaning cell utilizes ultra-high pressure (UHP) waterjet technology for part cleaning and coating removal. The system's main components are a cleaning arm with rotary spray assembly, a stainless steel enclosure with turntable, and an ultra-high pressure intensifier pump. Hydraulic motors power the cleaning arm motion. Travel speed is adjustable. A hydraulic motor also powers the rotary spray assembly. The angle is manually adjustable from 0 to 45 degrees. The work envelope is 18" along the X-axis and 12" along the Z-axis.

The stainless steel cabinet has a sliding up/down front door with Plexiglas window. The removable service door on the right side also includes a gasket-sealed Plexiglas window and provides additional access for maintenance personnel. The cleaning arm enters the cabinet though the panel on the left side. The turntable is accessible to the operator through the front sliding door. The cabinet has a single drain port for easy collection of the process water.

To operated the machine, the operator simply slides the door open and places one of the fixture plates onto the turntable. The rotary spray assembly angle is then checked and repositioned, if necessary. The operator closes the front door and selects a part program from the control panel. The program actives the pump unit, spins the turntable, and moves the cleaning arm. The entire machine automatically stops if the sliding door is opened or if the e-stop button is pushed. The control panel stores up to 10 part programs and has rpm readouts for the turntable and cleaning assembly.

The Jet Edge semi-automated waterjet cleaning cell can be custom designed.
